Html

hey all, been playing with wordpress and css/html today. Turns out we have to pay to edit our own code into wordpress.com, bad times. However we can use writtleart.org and have our own fancy website, with the wordpress admin tools (similar to inspiwrit blog). Mikes going to sort it tomorrow hopefully.

Also great leaps and bounds have been made learning more about css html and so forth. Feel pretty confident i can develop the page myself ‘without’ primarily using template themes from wordpress . Which also cuts out the risk of ad, virus and other nasty critters related to downloading off third party sights (as mentioned in charlottes link).

Yeah early days still, all looks bright and sunny though 🙂

Amy and Charlene can we organize a date to discuss the layout and specific features which will be added to the website? Specifically need Nick and Joe to get thinking about design and layout, colour palette and so forth.

Great news Sam Mc Sam Clan, and avoiding WordPress themes is probably advisable as Charlotte has pointed out before. I have a HTML book by Elizabeth castro that I will bring in for you it covers XHTML and CSS. Its great we are all now working towards the same goal!

well done sam great start 🙂 and im going home 2moz for study week and wont be back untill a week sunday, charlenee has my number tho and could txt or ring me on any news or updates, sorry!!

specific features i think should include ‘about’ – information on the site abd what the aim of the sit is etc, ‘news’ – general news or articles that are related and can be regularly updated, maybe the ‘map’ – of the locations of the posts (if that isnt too much to do) and possibly a ‘forum’.
